Kaisou's Organic Cotton T-shirt 'Ryukyu Dugong' is made from 100% organic cotton, offering a comfortable and gentle feel against the skin.
In Okinawa, it has long been believed that beyond the sea lies the paradise of "Nirai Kanai." Interestingly, some local dialects referred to the dugong as "Iyu," meaning fish. It's not hard to imagine why our ancestors might have regarded the dugong, dwelling in the sea, as a type of fish.
Despite facing numerous challenges, including the degradation of their natural habitat, the dugong population in Okinawa continues to quietly thrive. We feature the mystical creature, often deemed the "godfish" serving the deities on our shirt in a traditional Japanese pattern
